influent.tv is a new interactive and customizable online video experience. A video where you can decide the content that can be changed at any time, and that changes each time you view it. The new in.fluent mediaplayer allows you to generate a never-ending video. Select your preferences and the system dynamically generates your personal video out of hundreds of individual clips. You can even pick the music.
influent.tv is not just another online videoplayer or videoplatform like youtube where you can publish videos. influent.tv is a new way to watch and interact with video and videocontent. influent.tv is an ongoing experiment about dynamic video.
In cooperation with Red Bull Germany, we were able to launch the first
influent system in the field of Actionsports in June 2008. The system is now
publicly available for the first time. Give it a try. Select your rider,
terrain, location, event, trick… Then sit back and enjoy!

The RB-Embed-Player integrated in two more sites:
The german news site DerWesten.de reports about the Red Bulls X-Fighters in Germany and integrated the RB-Embed-Player: http://www.derwesten.de/…/videos.html
The actionsportmag funsporting.com presented influent within an article in their Trend-section and directly embedded the RB-Embed-Player: http://www.funsporting.de/…yer_1563.htm

Last week the first influent player launched on http://influent.redbull.de!
Red Bull is uses the RB-Embed-Player to promote different actionsports events. They are feeding the player with more and more actionsports footage and integrate the player into different event-sites. It officially launched last week to promote Red Bull X-Fighters http://www.facebook.com/home.php#…
That’s what they say on their site:
“Worldpremiere on facebook. A FMX video where you can decide about the content. A video which can be influenced at every time? Not possible? Not until today.
The new in.fluent mediaplayer allows you to generate a never ending FMX video. Out of hundreds of single FMX clips the player generates dynamically a film in order to your selections made. Even the music can be chosen freely.
Select, lay back and enjoy! Give it a try.”
We are stoked and agree: Give it a try!

in.fluent is mentioned inside a lead article about interactive webvideos in germans PAGE* Magazine (03.08, p.80–84).
I really like interactive and dynamic webvideos and i think this is a pretty interesting article. (I try to post it here soon).
It’s really hard to define what kind of video, movie or genre in.fluent is and I really like the idea of Florian Thalhofer not to talk about “interactive movies” but “rule-based movies” instead. I totally agree with him that the “rule-based” part is almost more important than the actual interactive part although one leads to the other.

on hold.
Unfortunately the “in.fluent Red Bull Player” is not online yet.
The Player is basically ready but organizing the hosting for the videos takes longer than we expected. We are trying to get it done as soon as possible and we are hoping to launch the player by the end of the week. In.fluent is still in an early beta status and can be seen as an ongoing experiment in the field of interactive and customizable videos. To further develope the software it’s necessary to publish the project and see how the system works within a live environment. We are really excited about the launch and hope that you all like the concept and our first published application.
